2021年秋季Maison&Objet如期舉行了線下展覽會，在時隔一年以后展商的數量和參展觀眾對比往年也有銳減，平均每天只有5000左右觀眾前來參觀，但作為全球頂級家居盛宴依舊有很多值得一看的地方。今年的展會分析將由POP家居趨勢團隊和來自荷蘭阿姆斯特丹的家居產品趨勢研究工作室Müller & van Wees（簡稱M&vW）聯合撰寫。很高興能夠親自參加巴黎的國際時尚家居設計展覽會博覽會。今年展會上出現了很多簡單但暖色調的印花，如條紋和斑點、制作精美的花卉和鮮艷的彩色圖案。民族風圖案仍然以許多不同的風格呈現。圖案設計上更多強調采用完全正確的趨勢顏色以及流行的材料和紋理。

Lots of modest stripes in warm duo-tones. Small variations in stripe-width and an extra color gives the simple stripe pat-terns a bit more fashion sense. The modest stripe combined with natural materials like cotton and linen create a humble but sophisticated look.The humble stripe in hardware products have a strong graphic look and can be a bit more playful by alternating the stripe in diagonal or horizontal direction. The humble stripe is also added to decorate hand crafted objects like small vases and by using contrast color binding material in a carpet.

Marled and speckled textiles are both printed and jacquard woven. The patterns, mostly in subdued colors, imitate earthy textures and stone materials like granite and terrazzo, materials that are very popular in interior design. Speckled glazings and textures give a handcrafted look to many objects. Imitated gemstone surfaces from composite materials can be made in any color combination and classic marbling techniques are 

applied to almost anything.

Ethnic patterns have been very popular in home textile decoration and are still going strong. The contemporary ethnic patterns can be clean 

versions of classic motifs, modern interpretations, simplified variations or trendy recolored. Ethnic patterns in home decoration are in 

abundance. Contemporary versions of ethnic patterns are applied to daily objects that become instantly more interesting and give a sense of 

storytelling to the objects.

The abundance of flower patterns of this summer get a new and darker color-scheme. A dark fond color varying from dark blue to pitch black

 give the flower prints a mysterious and rich look. The home deco items have a deep and dark fond color with all kinds of flower patterns, from bohemian wild flowers to dark jungle foliage. Yellow and gold give spark to the dark flora patterns.

Gardening is hot so garden flowers are a big source of inspiration for print and patterns. They come in all kinds of variations from sophisticated

lilies and painterly blossom prints to vintage style botanical herbs and cute tiny weeds. Painted garden illustrations, decorative leaf and flower

borders, cute all over flower patterns and placed flower artworks; garden flowers were strongly represented at M&O fair.

There was a striking amount of flower patterns in beautiful bright pastels with the color lilac as an strongly emerging trend color. Combined 

with a touch of neon yellow or gold yarn, it was an optimistic and festive look. Happy and colorful home decoration items were adorned with

 bright flowers. Shiny metallic surfaces and gold give it an extra upbeat look. Similar to textiles there was the emerging trend color lilac.

Geometric patterns in bright colors create a modern and or modern-ethnic look and combine well with almost any other colorful pattern like 

tartans. Lots of shifting rectangular shapes, triangle combinations, diamond shapes and zigzags. Everyday objects become playful eye-catchers

 by using bold geometric patterns in bright colors. When combined with natural materials like wool or terracotta, it will create a trendy modern ethnic vibe.

A similar colorful sight as colorful geometric are the bright ethnic patterns. Traditional patterns made in authentic hand crafted ways or in 

modern printing techniques in bright con-temporary color schemes. Traditional techniques and artisan embellishments are executed in bright 

colors and create wonderful new objects with a worldly vibe. There are strong artistic influences from Africa and India.

Fat stripes in duo-tone color blocking were frequent. Clashing color combination that vibrate. Contrast is key. Contrast color edges on 

place-mats, duo-tone ombre candles, contrast color glazed candle holders, contrasting dinner plates; deco items in color blocking brights make a vivid home.
